Binance P2P South Africa: Choose an EFT Merchant
Use order history, completion rate, ZAR limits, bank methods and written terms together before opening a Binance P2P order and paying by EFT.
A high completion rate is useful, but it is not enough to choose a Binance P2P merchant. Before paying by EFT in South Africa, read the merchant’s order history, completion rate, ZAR limits, accepted bank methods and written conditions together. The receiving name shown in the order must also make sense for the verified counterparty.
Do this before opening an order. Once the payment timer starts, discovering that the minimum is too high or that the merchant requires a condition you will not accept creates avoidable pressure.
What can you see on the public ZAR market?
On 11 August 2026, Binance’s public USDT/ZAR page showed advertisers with a ZAR price, available amount, order limits, payment methods, number of orders, completion percentage and a payment window. Some offers named South African banks; the page also required verification before trading.

This is a point-in-time record, not a recommendation list. A merchant can change an ad, go offline or update limits after the screenshot.
Start with the order range, not the cheapest price
An offer is unusable when your amount falls outside its minimum and maximum. Compare merchants only after entering the ZAR amount you actually plan to spend. The cheapest headline price may belong to an order range far above your test amount.
Also compare how much USDT the order will release. A small apparent price advantage can disappear if another route has a better final quote or if your bank charges for the transfer.
How should you read order count and completion rate?
Completion rate describes a proportion, while order count gives it context. A perfect percentage based on very few orders is not the same evidence as a long operating history. Neither number guarantees a safe trade, but reading them together is more informative than sorting by price alone.
Look for recent feedback and average handling time where the interface provides them. Read negative comments for repeated patterns rather than treating one complaint as proof or ignoring all complaints because the percentage is high.
Does a merchant badge remove the need to check?
No. Binance merchant or verification badges can indicate additional platform checks or programme status, but they do not replace your review of the current order. Confirm the payment account, written conditions and order amount every time.
Do not assume a familiar-looking nickname or bank logo proves identity. Use only the details supplied inside the active Binance order.
Read the merchant’s terms before opening the order
The ad may set conditions about payment timing, supported banks, proof of payment or additional verification. If a condition asks you to share excessive personal data, move the conversation off Binance, use a third-party payer or cancel after paying, do not proceed.
You should not send an identity document directly to a stranger merely because a chat message requests it. Binance performs its own identity checks. If an ad’s conditions are unacceptable, choose another ad before payment.
EFT account names must match
Pay from an account in your own verified name and check the recipient details shown by the order. Third-party payments make it harder to establish who sent the money and can breach platform rules or the merchant’s conditions.
Do not save bank details from an old order and reuse them later. A P2P recipient can change, and the protection of the order applies to the payment instructions shown in that specific order.
What should you record before pressing “Paid”?
Keep the order number, amount, recipient details and payment timer visible. After your bank confirms the EFT, save a receipt or statement entry with the transaction reference. Mark the order as paid only after the bank has accepted the transfer.
A form that has been filled in but not submitted is not payment proof. A bank notification marked pending may also require a different explanation from a completed transfer.
Stop if the merchant changes the process
Do not continue when the counterparty asks you to:
- pay a second amount for release or verification;
- use bank details sent only through WhatsApp or Telegram;
- cancel the order after payment;
- claim payment is complete before the bank confirms it;
- use another person’s bank account.
Keep communication in the Binance order chat. If you have paid and the merchant does not release the USDT, keep the order open and use Help or Appeal. Preserve the order ID, chat and completed bank record.
A practical merchant-selection order
Enter your ZAR amount first. Remove ads whose limits or payment methods do not fit. Compare the remaining merchants by order history, completion rate, feedback and written conditions. Open the order only when you can pay from your own account within the time window and understand the recovery path.
That sequence is slower than tapping the first green button, but it prevents most of the mistakes that happen before the EFT is even sent.
Compare the effective ZAR price, not the ad order
The marketplace may sort ads by headline price, but your useful comparison is total ZAR paid divided by USDT released. Enter your intended amount because order limits can remove some ads and change which quote is available.
Record the quote time as well. P2P inventory and prices move; a screenshot from yesterday cannot prove what you can buy today. If two merchants are close in effective cost, favour the order whose conditions, payment method and evidence path you understand.
What if your bank is not listed?
Do not assume “Bank Transfer” means every South African bank will work in every order. Read the ad and open only an order whose displayed payment method you can use. Bank policies and account risk controls vary, so Zovrino does not publish a permanent list of “crypto-friendly” banks.
If your bank blocks or holds the EFT before completion, do not mark the P2P order as paid and do not repeat the transfer. Check the bank status, tell the counterparty inside the order and cancel only according to the platform flow if no money was sent.
Keep the recovery path visible
Before sending the EFT, know where the order’s Help or Appeal option is. Save the order number and recipient details. After payment, keep a bank record that shows status, amount, time and reference without exposing unrelated balances or account information.
If the seller does not release the crypto, leave the order open and use the in-order process. Do not accept a request to cancel after payment or move the resolution to a private chat. Binance support can review the order record; it cannot reconstruct an undocumented off-platform arrangement as easily.
A badge and a good rate can still coexist with a bad fit
A merchant may have a long history and still set a minimum above your budget, accept a bank you do not use or require conditions you cannot meet. That does not automatically make the merchant dishonest; it makes the ad unsuitable for your order.
Merchant selection is therefore a fit test before it is a trust judgement. Remove unsuitable ads first, then assess the remaining counterparties using the available history and terms.
